Slowpoke Tattoo features a hand-picked crew of Austinβs best artists at both our flagship Camp East studio and our Slowpoke Salina spot. At both locations, our mission is simple: provide a welcoming, high-vibe space where we walk you through every step of the process.
Hand Poke or Machine Tattooing
Two Methods. One Standard.
At Slowpoke, we work in both machine and hand-poke because the best approach depends on the piece.
Machine tattooing is fast and precise, ideal for bold linework, shading, and larger-scale work.
Hand-poke is slower and more deliberate built stroke by stroke, no motor, for delicate, fine-line designs with a softer, more organic feel.
Many of our artists do both. The best place to start? Find the artist whose work speaks to you.
